Marketing 2.0 Conference Raises Alertness About Spam Emails Targeting Honorees & Event Attendees
Did you receive an email from someone impersonating Marketing 2.0 Conference's associates offering quick access to its attendee list in exchange for money? It is not us! We want to disclose that some fraudsters are misusing our names to get personal details and money from people. As soon as we learned about this ongoing fraud, we thought of alerting our attendees so they don't fall for this spam.
Recently, one of our attendees shared a screenshot of an email offering an attendee list of our previous event while asking for money in return. You can look at the spammy email sent by the spammer to trick them.

While we were excited about our 2023's editions in the USA and Dubai, we got the news of this scam targeting our attendees. Our team deeply reviewed the email and found some loopholes. We want to share the observations made by Marketing 2.0 Conference that can help you to avoid such spam emails in the future.
Marketing 2.0 Conference's Team Examines The Spam Email By The Scammer
After deeply analyzing the email, we made some conclusions, which we want to share to help you avoid such fraud and spam in the future.
- These spammers send emails that offer confidential information about past attendees. Marketing 2.0 Conference strictly follows its policies of protecting the clients' personal details and doesn't believe in going against them.
- The emails usually have grammatical errors or malicious links. Infected with malware, these attachments try to get a hold of the recipient's personal information. Do not open them!
- The Marketing 2.0 Conference team noticed that the spammers create urgency by asking people to pay them as soon as possible for the attendee list, as the offer is for a limited period. Don't fall for it! Verify the source and in case of any doubts, feel free to reach us!
You can fill out our form and report the spam. We will quickly get it and do whatever we can to stop these fraudulent activities.
